The European Night Crawlers or E. hortensis, aka 'dendrobina veneta' is at least 3 to 5 times larger than it's cousin, E. Foetida, the 'red wiggler'. These Euros are about the thickness of a pencil and 4 to 6 inches long. They are excelent fishing bait as well as for composting. Their reproduction rates and overall ease of care are just about unbeatable! European Nightcrawlers eat food that is much chunkier than the Red Worms can handle. They are prolific breeders and do well in compost piles, worm bins and worm beds. With some minor adjustments, Euros are raised in pretty much the same way and in the same conditions as the red worm E. Foetida.

At 4 to 6 inches and about as thick as a pencil they are just what the big fish are looking for!
